My wife’s Zune had been failing for several months (it has the latest software version), it works for two or three days and then, with sufficient battery, stops working, the screen turns black and didn’t respond to any action. We had to wait for two or three days until the battery drains, and after charging again the Zune works, but after some days happens the same history, the Zune stop working.
That’s why I bought my wife a new 2nd gen iPod Touch, I already had one for months and never fails, she is happy synchronizing her songs and photos. With the 3.0 software that includes Bluetooth it's a wonderfull gadget!
I bought my ZUNE in USA but I don’t live there; I don’t think it’s possible to get my money back L
